The cost of inaction - why it's easier to do nothing 🤔

Happy Thursday Three!
Here are this week's coaching tip, exercise tutorial and question to ponder for the week.
I. Coaching tip
A 1% change might not feel like much.
A 1% change might not feel like much today but compound that change over time, and you end up in a completely different place.
Yet in the day-to-day, the difference between action in inaction is often negligible. If you exercise regularly or not. If you manage your stress or bury it. If you prioritise healthy food or not. Your daily life will not look much different but fast-forward a few years, and your health will be in two vastly different places.

There lies the tricky part. If our choices today do not bear fruit immediately, the short-term pleasure of inaction starts to look pretty appealing. It's often easier to do nothing (or the same) than it is to change.
I'm not going to pretend it's easy. Life gets busy, and I'm sure your plate is full already. But time waits for none of us; you either create time for your health now or wait to find out the cost later.
Yet we don't need to flip our lives upside down; it doesn't need to be massive daily action. A 15-minute workout, a walk during your lunch break, cooking a healthy meal, and getting a good night's sleep. These small changes made consistently will soon add up.
II. Exercise Tutorial
One for the desk jockeys
Greetings, fellow desk jockeys! Despite my job being pretty active, I still rack up more than a few hours locked behind a desk.
Now I might only rank amateur compared to some of you hard-working folks, but the effects are real for us all.
Having a few stretches on standby to help offset the "desk hunch" can be super handy. I couldn't think of a cool-kid name for it, so it's simply the "flex & extend"......Standing cat/cow would have probably been better, but I digress.
Try adding a quick movement snack throughout your day to keep that spine happy and your body moving.
Check out this guide to learn how to do it.
III. Question to Ponder
What's your 1%?
What is one small change you could make this week? Something simple and actionable and, most importantly, something you can do every day.
P.S. If you enjoyed this week's Thursday Three, share it with a friend.
Thanks,
Jamie
