The Boulder, the Hill, and Showing Up Anyway 🪨

Ever heard the story of Sisyphus?
He's the guy from Greek mythology doomed to push a giant boulder up a hill—only to have it roll back down. Over and over. Forever.
I've had a bit of a Sisyphus week.
Push the boulder. Feels like progress. And then—boom—back at the bottom.
Now, I'm not cursed by the gods (I think), but some weeks really do test your resolve. It's easy to show up when things are going well. It's another thing entirely to show up when nothing's clicking and you feel like you're getting nowhere.
But here's what I'm trying to take away from it:
Even the small ways you show up still count.
Even the tiny wins matter.
Even if the boulder rolls back, you're still stronger for the next push.
The French philosopher Albert Camus wrote about Sisyphus too. He said we must imagine Sisyphus happy—not because the work is easy or the outcome is glorious, but because he keeps going anyway (maybe in part to spite the gods).
This week, that's enough for me.
Catch you next week.
P.S. If you enjoyed this week's Thursday Three, please share it with a friend.
Thanks,
Jamie
