🐸 Is it worth it? A spicy stretch and not giving a f....

🧃 Is the juice worth the squeeze?

I recently read an article about business development (dry I know). There was this intriguing point that said, ā€œThe strategies that take a business to its first million are not the same as the ones that earn 10 million, and it's a whole different ball game to grow to 100 million." Different problems and strategies come into play at each stage. The game changes.

I can't claim it's the gospel truth for business, but this holds true for health and fitness. The time and effort you put in to run your first 5km are not the same as running a sub 17-minute 5km, which demands a much higher degree of effort, time, and consistency. Likewise, the habits and routines needed to get below 25% body fat are a world apart from those of someone aiming for levels below 10% body fat.

It's all about effort matching the outcome, but that doesn’t mean everyone should just work harder. Quite the contrary! Sure, it'd be awesome to have a business turning over 100 million pounds, but I'm not sure I'd want the challenges, the headaches and the effort needed to sustain it, let alone earn it in the first place.

The idea of that outcome is far less appealing when considering the potential cost. Instead, I prefer focusing on running my small business, acknowledging the challenges and natural limitations that come with it.

Many of us would probably love to walk around looking like an extra from the movie "300" (google if your not familiar), but if our desire isn't matched by a willingness to do the work, it remains on our ā€œit would be niceā€¦ā€ list rather than becoming an active goal. This might sound like I’m being negative, but honestly, that’s not the message I’m trying to share.

As you climb the "look good naked" ladder, the costs increase, but the returns might dwindle. Let me ask you would life be significantly better with six-pack abs and model ready physique as opposed to simply feeling comfortable with your shirt off; especially when taking into account all the extra time and effort that it requires? This isn’t a rhetorical question - for some, it’s 100% worth it, but for others there is a diminishing rate of return.

Most of are not aiming for the stars with our health and fitness goal; we want to look better, feel better and live longer. The cool part is that doesn't require crazy diets and endless sacrifice but it does require some effort. How much? Well that all depends how good you want to feel, move and live.

šŸŽ„ Frogger Stretch

Oh, the deep joy of the frogger stretch! Even as someone with reasonable flexibility, this one always leaves me feeling it. I bet you can't help but take a couple of John Wayne-like strides right after this one!

All joking aside, this is a fantastic stretch that's definitely worth a try 🐸
