Feels Good Now vs. Feels Good Later ⚖️

ree

Some weeks feel like a blur, and it’s hard to tell what actually moved you forward and what quietly pulled you off track. These three questions help cut through that noise. They’re simple, but they show you the difference between short-term comfort and the kind of choices that build real momentum over time.

1️⃣ What felt good in the moment but not so great afterward?

We’ve all been there — the extra scroll, the “I’ll skip today,” the snack that turns into a mini picnic. None of this makes you a bad human; it just shows where the autopilot takes over. Spotting these little patterns is huge, because once you see them, you get a choice again.

2️⃣ What felt hard in the moment but great afterward?

This is the stuff future-you is grateful for: getting the session done when you didn’t want to… cooking instead of defaulting to delivery… saying “no” when you were already stretched. These moments aren’t glamorous, but they’re the ones that actually move the needle.

3️⃣ What’s one small thing you could lean into next week?

Not a life overhaul — just one thing. A tiny shift toward what feels good after, and a little less of what only feels good now. You can repeat something that worked, tweak something that didn’t, or set a simple cue for those moments when old habits tend to sneak in. Small is the point — it’s what keeps things doable.

Keep coming back to these three. They’re quick, they’re honest, and they help you steer the week instead of drifting through it.

Little check-ins like this add up.
