80% Behaviour + 20% Technical

When it comes to health & fitness, it's about 80% behaviour and only 20% technical knowledge.
Most of us already know what we should be doing.
Eat better. Move more. Sleep enough and try not to overdo the treats.
It's not a knowledge problem—it's a consistency problem.
Now don't get me wrong, knowledge is important. It's all good saying "eat better," but if you don't know how to cook, that's going to be tricky. That said, you also don't need to be a full-blown chef either.
Back in the day, I used to love a good Men's Health magazine.
Every month it had some new exercise, a hot new supplement, or a food that was apparently going to change my life—enter the anti-aging blackberry! It was fun. It made me feel like I was doing something by reading.
And hey—I'm not knocking it. That magazine probably got a lot of guys to start thinking about their health, and let's face it, they wouldn't sell many copies saying "do the same we said last month!"
But you know what works time and time again?
Doing the boring, basic stuff day in and day out.
Nobody writes clickbait about "guy eats same breakfast for 2 years and feels great!" But that's what works.
Boring wins.
Want to feel better, move better, and look better?
Get consistent with the stuff you already know works. And if you do find yourself with a knowledge gap—cool; learn a little and then practice a lot!
P.S. If you enjoyed this week's Thursday Three, please share it with a friend.
Thanks,
Jamie
